Our executive members embarked on a Hospital Visit Series to various hospitals in Freetown, including Sierra Leone Psychiatric Hospital , Rokupa Government Hospital, Ola During Children’s Hospital and Kingherman Maternal and Child Health Hospital .This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to prioritize the welfare of our colleagues.
During these visits, we engaged in candid discussions about crucial issues affecting healthcare professionals, such as poor working conditions, human resource challenges, and administrative shortcomings. The meetings were incredibly productive, and we’re grateful for the valuable insights shared by everyone involved.
Leading the team was the chair of our welfare committee, ensuring focused and impactful engagement throughout the visits. Their leadership was instrumental in facilitating meaningful conversations and identifying actionable solutions to address the challenges faced by our healthcare community.
We’re committed to using the information gathered during these visits to advocate for positive change and improve the working conditions for all healthcare professionals in Sierra Leone. Together, we’ll continue to strive for a healthcare system that supports both our colleagues and the communities we serve.
